I really love how organic and deep electronic music has been getting in the last year. Here are some of my favorite tracks at the moment;

Luca C & Brigante - Different Morals (Clockwork Remix)

Ralp Vaessen's new line of glasses called "LIES" is amazing. All the frames can be either sunglasses or prescriptions. He has a lot of pretty different and original frame shapes, I especially love the cat eye ones which are very in style now. More here

Really loving this eccentric and colorful shoot starring Björk in Dazed & Confused. Shot by Sam Falls, styled by Katy England, and titled "Violently Appy". This is the 200th issue of Dazed & Confused, and Bjork was not only the cover star but also the guest editor of the issue. The issue includes an interview with her about her inventive approach to music making and her upcoming album and “app suite” Biophilia. She also selcted a wide array of scientists, designers, programmers, musicologists and artists who inspire her to be featured in the issue .
Some happy tunes and a pretty cool video from, French DJ/Producer Stephane Pompougnac. The track is from his new album Night & Day.

Vaudeville, is a short film that Gilad did the hair for.

I just got back from vacationing in San Fran, hence the lack of post on my behalf. Absolutely lovely city with tons to see and do. But most importantly A-mazing shopping, especially if you're into vintage.

San Francisco weather get's pretty chilly, so bringing a jacket is necessary, but if you forgot it at home (like me) there are ton's of places you can just buy a new one! My favorite street for shops was Haight. A hippy street with tons of unique shops, cafe's and restaurants; offers some amazing thrift shopping. You can find some really awesome vintage gems ( I even saw a Channel suite jacket from the 90's) in stores such as La Rosa Vintage, Wasteland, and Crossroads Trading Co.. They are all located near the Haight and Ashbury intersection. Wasteland is probably the biggest and sells both new and thrift clothing for man and women. Crossroads is cool since you can bring in your "gently used" clothing and either sell or trade it (I bought an Adidas hoody there that's like brand new for $16). The staff is super friendly and helpful at all of them, so I highly recommend checking them out.

Studio Swine is a design studio created by Azusa Murakami and Alexander Groves. They specialize in projects that are both socially and ecologically driven. One of these projects is the Hair Glasses, which are a sustainable fashion eye ware line. According to ther website, the glasses are made of human hair with bioresin as a binding agent and are 100% biodegradable.  Swine looks at hair as a viable—importantly renewable–material, which can be used for more than just hair extensions.

The frames are super cute, and I am all pro using organic and renewable materials, so this is definitely very cool from one perspective. From another point I don't know if I would feel creeped out wearing someones hair on my face as glasses. What do you guys think?

There are not many photographers that can create images that really look like they were taken on another planet or in another dimension. Kate Friend is one of those photographers. Born in Britain, she's been taking pictures since she was 6. She works between New York and London shooting fashion images for many publications such as The Pop, Wall street Journal and style.com.

This one is from her latest editorial for Vnfold, titled Ancetral voices. (It's incredible!)

Updos are always in, especially this season- but now its over the top. Pile hair high, higher, highest. Use hair scrunchies as fillers. With a gown, suit or your fav jeans, updos are divine. THINK AUDREY HEPBURN AND GO FOR IT.
I have to let this out!!! Every time I walk into these "high end designer department stores I always have trouble with these sales associates. They think that their shit don't stink !! So one day I walked into Holts (not naming locations) an saw these amazing pair of shoes in the window. I looked over to the sales person made eye contact and asked him for assistance. Instead of coming over to assist me, he turned away (back towards me) and started chit chatting with another sales associate. Keep in mind guys the Store was dead. So then I raised my voice, "Can I get some help here" ? still nobody even cared to come my way to see if I needed help. I was so angry at that moment that I didnt know how to control it. Then I see another associate walk right by me, texting on his phone and on the sales floor? lol wooooooow!! At this point I am fuming , face turning red, horns appearing on the top of my head, devil tail growing. Then suddenly I told myself to com down an slowly walk away. These associates made my day a living hell. I have never been treated so poorly in my life before. Now keep in mind I was in sales since I was eleven years of age. What happened to the rule of "The customer comes first"? I'm a fashion coordinator/consultant, knowing all the ropes behind fashion, approaching a customer/client, I am picky. I treat my clients and customers like a million bucks, and royalty. To get treated like I was in the store, made me feel un-wanted. (NOBODY SHOULD FEEL THIS WAY ) So I walked out of the store with this discomforting feeling. I have never felt this way before. I really wanted those shoes.

I thought maybe I should walk over to Harry Rosen and see if I can find this shoe for that special party I was going to. I walked into the store an same thing happens. I didn't get greeted, nobody wanted to really assist me (again felt unwelcome). I walked out.

I walked by The Bay, and saw a huge crowd , so I decided to walk into the store. The second I stepped foot to the store I got greeted, smiled at, and complimented on my new sneakers. I felt a warm feeling of comfort, and welcoming me into their store. Wow the Bay is so different now, total make over. They have some great designer brands in the store for men and women. Guess what I saw glaring at me in the eye? The shoes I saw at Holts lol !!!!!!!! When I lay my eyes on them, there was an associate who right away approached me to ask my size, showed me around the store to let me know what they have for new arrivals and sales. Everyone who steps foot into your home/store/salon etc should feel welcomed at all times.

Ladies and Gents I always say "The catwalk is your sidewalk, because you never know who is watching, and you never know who will be shaking your hand." Have a wonderful day! Enjoy life to the fullest. Smile it will not kill you. Its free!

Here are a couple of products from two designers of the. Yes, they are called, the. The people behind the project are called  Sherwood Forlee and Mihoko Ouchi, and they design a variety of products, from no particular categories that are quite "lighthearted and mirthful". Check their website for more.

All walls notebook, you can be a graffiti artist anytime and not even get arrested.

What you guys think?
If  there was ever a fire at my place, the three things I would grab running out, would be; my cat, my lap top and my bracelets collection.

I'm definitely slightly on the OBSESSED side when it comes to decorating my wrists. My favorites this summer were these colorful, wrap around bracelets, such as the ones from Chan Luu, or Juicy Couture. Unfortunately they are really on the pricey side (over $200 for the Chan Luu and around $60 for the JC).
Chan Luu
Juicy Couture
After searching for a cheaper version, I was able to find this DIY on a blog called honestly WTF, and made about 15 of them for roughly $60 (I ordered most of the supplies from the site they recommend). Here is the detailed tutorial from their site. You will basically need some leather cord, waxed linen cord, ball chain or crystal chain, 1/4" hex nut, scissors and a little time. One thing I had to change in their tutorial was their measurements since I found them quite small. Just make sure to measure your wrist and cut the ball chain or the crystal chain according to that measurement. So lets say your wrist is 6.5" in diameter and you want the bracelet to wrap around twice, cut the chain to 13" instead of the recommended 12".

Society6 is a pretty rad online shop for art prints. What they do is basically get various artist to submit their art and then sell it on their behalf, as gallery quality art prints, iPhone cases, and t-shirts. There are a few different categories such as Animals, Illustrations, Typography and Photograhy. Here are a couple of my favorite pieces, I think I might order me some. Site Link
