ORIBE - A True Artist

Growing up as a kid, I was always wondering who were the people behind the scenes who made the models, actors, beauty stars look so wonderful in the magazines, on the runways, and the red carpet. That artist who sculpted and stlyed hair, for the big names in hollywood and the big names of the fashion world is Oribe. When my dearest clients, models, photographers, make-up artists ask me who is my inspiration in the hair world and why? I always tell them Oribe is, he's not ony a "hairstylist" but I consider him an "artist." Oribe has worked with creative directors like Fabien Baron and Keesha Keeble; make-up artists like François Nars, Pat McGrath, Kevyn Aucoin and Stephane Marais; and fashion designers like Gianni Versace, a mentor who inspired Oribe’s tattoos, and Karl Lagerfeld, who took the rock and roll hairstylist under his wing. And then there are the models, celebrities and icons - from Beverly Johnson, to Christy Turlington who Oribe appears with in a Vogue spread, to Heidi Klum and Naomi Campbell. VIA
